Rec Room tokens and credits you cannot move
Platform currency died with the servers in June 2026. Do not plan a comeback around a balance you will never see again.
Openrooms can host a room page and a handle. It cannot restore tokens, event tickets, or store credit. Treat those as spent, even if the receipt is still in your email.
Receipts are not a refund
A charge from 2024 proves you paid Rec Room, not that a successor owes you a balance. Chargebacks this late hit the wrong company and still will not open the old room.
Price the new room in money you control
If you sell access now, use a payout you can actually receive. Recreating a token economy on a static archive is how you disappoint the same players twice.
Frequently asked questions
What about unspent creator earnings?
If Rec Room still owes a payout, that is a claim on Rec Room, not a feature of a fan archive. Document it; do not advertise it as transferable.
Can I honour old supporters some other way?
A role, a credit line, a private room — those are yours to give. A matching token balance is not.
