The old Rec Room tutorial is gone. If you reopen a room, you owe a first-five-minutes path that works on a phone.
Put the how-to-play on the public room page: spawn, goal, how to be kind. Screenshots are not a tutorial unless you caption the buttons.
Assume no muscle memory
Players arriving in 2026 may never have worn a Quest in your genre. “You already know the rest” is how empty lobbies stay empty.
Desktop-first controls need a sentence too. A VR-only legend will strand the people who can actually show up.
Open the doors with a script
A pinned note on the archive page is the new loading screen. Update it when the rebuild changes the win condition.
